This Privacy Policy describes how Nomad Sidekick (“Nomad Sidekick,” “I,” “me,” or “my”), the travel blog operated by Renata at nomadsidekick.com (the “Site”), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit the Site, sign up for the newsletter, or contact me. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information I collect
Information you provide
- Newsletter signups: your email address.
- Contact form: your name, email address, the topic you select, and the contents of your message.
- Other communications: any information you choose to share when you email me or message me on social media.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through server logs, cookies, and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and approximate location (city or region) based on your IP address.

4. Affiliate links
Some links on the Site are affiliate links (see my Affiliate Disclosure). When you click one, the retailer or network may collect information about your visit and purchase under its own privacy policy, including Amazon, ShopMy, and Geniuslink. I receive reports about commissions, not your personal details.
5. Embedded content and social media
Posts may include links to or embedded content from TikTok, Instagram, and other sites. Embedded content behaves the same way as if you visited those sites directly, and those companies may collect data about you. See the TikTok Privacy Policy and the Instagram Privacy Policy.
6. How I share information
I do not sell your personal information. I share information only with service providers that help me run the Site, such as my website host (Hostinger), my website builder and form tools (Elementor), my email newsletter provider, and analytics providers. These providers may only use your information to perform services for me. I may also disclose information if required by law, to protect my rights or the safety of others, or as part of a transfer of the Site.
7. How long I keep information
I keep newsletter subscriber information until you unsubscribe, and contact form messages for as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping afterward. Analytics data is kept according to the analytics provider’s retention settings.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information I hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising (California and other U.S. state residents). Nomad Sidekick does not sell personal information.
To make a request, contact me. I will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Unsubscribing from emails
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact me to be removed.
10. Data security
I use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including a secure (HTTPS) connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where my service providers operate.
12. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and I do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact me and I will delete it.
13. Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, such as retailers, park and job resources, and social media. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, so please review their policies.
14. Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When I do, I will change the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may also be announced on the Site or in the newsletter.
